The motivation behind the package stems from our work as statisticians, where every day we summarize datasets and regression models in R, share these results with collaborators, and eventually include them in published. You can definitely improve it by creating a way to pass in summary functions, but I thought it might be a good start for you. The gtsummary package provides an elegant and flexible way to create publication-ready analytical and summary tables in R. You pass it all the variables that you want it to group by and then it creates summaries at combination of each level. #> 10 overall_Species_Petal.Length 4.4 5.15Ĭreated on by the reprex package (v0.3.0) Since this value is in the range (0.1, 1, it has no significance code. I'm 90% certain there is something like this in janitor package, but I've written my own function: library(tidyverse)ĭplyr::summarise(mean_s_length = mean(Sepal.Length),ĭplyr::mutate(summarization_level = name)ĭplyr::select(summarization_level, max_s_width, mean_s_length)Ĭreate_summaries(iris, Species, Petal.Length) I know I can create my own function, but was hoping there is something that already exists. I kind of want: summary_overall = iris %>%įYI - if you're familiar with SAS I'm looking for the same type of functionality available via a class, ways or types statements in proc means that let me control the level of summarization and get multiple levels in one call.Īny help is appreciated. Summary_table = rbind(summary_grouped, summary_overall)ĭoing this multiple times over is very tedious. Summarize(mean_s_length = mean(Sepal.Length), What I'm looking for is an option to have a few different levels included by default. I'm currently using the Tidyverse approach and this is an example of my current code. I'm creating a bunch of basic status reports and one of things I'm finding tedious is adding a total row to all my tables.

Welcome to the latest (and best ever) release of Trainz Railroad Simulator, keeping railroad fans engrossed since 2001! This kite likes nice big gusts of wind so throw it high and run fast to help it catch the air.A kite is an aircraft lifted into the air by the wind, typically using a string or line attached to the kite. If you’ve chosen a nice washi tape you could add a little extra here, or why not tie some bows to the tail of your kite? A double fold can provide a neater edge here if you have enough paper.Īpply any final decoration to your kite. Place your straw frame in the middle of the tissue paper, and fold the edge of the paper over the string taping or glueing down as you go. Tie this string tight.Ĭut a diamond shape out of your tissue paper, that is at least 3cm bigger on all sides than your straw frame. If you would like to include a tail on your kite, make sure you leave one end of this strong long, as well as keeping the main length of the string to hold onto.Ĭut a notch into each straw end, and take a piece of string around the outside edge of the straws. Where the 2 straws connect, tie them together tightly with string, then tie the string you’re going to use to fly the kite to this junction too. Cut one straw to 15cm in length and keep the other straw at full length.Ĭut a notch in the shorter straw, 7.5cm across and fit the longer straw into that notch to form a cross shape. Whatever you would like to decorate your kite with.Scissors (and a craft knife – optional).Remember this kite flies well because it’s very light and the wind can catch it easily – it’s a good idea not to weigh it down too much with decorations. If you want to decorate this kite it’s a good idea to do it at the end. Try to choose a pretty tape, or if you prefer to you can glue down the edges. This kite is a bit more traditional in its look, and it can be a bit trickier to make and fly so is better suited to older children – or done mostly by a parent. If the wind isn’t gusting as strongly you might need to run around a bit to get it airborne. The wind should catch your kite and make it fly beautifully. If it’s a lovely windy day – hold on tight. If you would like to create a tail for your kite you can leave a long length of string to hang down and decorate here. Thread your string through the hole at B, and knot it to hold it secure. Push a hole through the paper at point B (you can either use your pencils or a hole punch but watch out for little fingers here). Along the fold mark 2 points, A at 6cm in from the edge and B at 9.5cm in from the edge.įold the outside corners of the paper up and staple them together at point A. You can do this on either side of the piece of paper and if you add something sparkly it will look extra beautiful as it catches the light and flies through the air.įold your A4 paper in half so it’s now A5 in size. If you would like to decorate your kite, it’s a good idea to do it before you begin folding. Anything you would like to use to decorate your kite – ribbons, stickers or coloured pencils or pens.An A4 piece of paper – any colour – folded in half. You can also add a beautiful tail and tie on some bows and sparkles to make it even more spectacular as it catches the wind. This kite is really simple and lends itself nicely to some additional decoration with coloured pencils or stickers. We look forward to seeing you at our special kite-flying event at the park on Wednesday 8 July, at 1030am. That is to help those that are ‘ organizationally-challenged’ put away the items where they belong. Yes, you read that correctly… I have labels on my shelves. All the lids are in one place, on one shelf and are easy to find. I can take the whole basket out and rummage through it to get the right lid and I don’t have to empty the cupboard while doing it. I also have a very cool organizing product that I love: it is a wired basket that separates the lids from the containers and helps me stack them easily in my cupboard. Fortunately, Rubbermaid containers have all of these and are BPA-free. What I do have are storage containers that are durable, can be washed in the dishwasher and are safe to place in a microwave. Those containers go directly into the recycling bin. Those containers serve a purpose but storing your leftover food is not one of them. Mainly, you want to keep your food safe and tasty. They are flimsy, may leak and when you heat them they may melt (and you want to avoid that catastrophe). Why? First of all because none of these containers were meant to be frozen or put into a microwave in addition, they may not be BPA-free. What I don’t have is margarine, sour cream or yoghurt containers. Don’t be afraid to get rid of unused storage containers.Store measuring cups in this cupboard for easy access. We use that cupboard everyday, multiple times a day. The cupboard beside your stove is prime real estate so use it wisely.Place storage containers close to where you are going to use them.Get rid of sippy cups and Cheerio holders if you don’t have babies and toddlers anymore Sort through what is still good and what is cracked and ready for the recycle bin (most plastics can be place in there).Take everything out and wipe down the shelves.Organizing your cupboard means you have to: I try as much as possible to avoid using plastic baggies because its bad for the environment and its important to teach your kids that lesson. I also have containers that the kids use for their school lunches and also for snacks on the go. Big, small, short and tall, I have all sorts of containers for all sorts of needs. Whether it is to hold sandwich containers, larger leftover containers, cold cuts and one just for iceberg lettuce (o.k. I am not sure about you but I have a full cupboard dedicated to my storage containers. This weeks task is organizing your food storage containers with an added bonus: my review of Rubbermaid’s Easy Find Lids #EFL. In the 4M organizing series (otherwise know as Margarita’s Manic Monday Minutes), I try and give you projects that you can do in 15-20 minutes or less. There is something about keeping a kitchen organized that makes a family function better. One of my favourite rooms to organize is the kitchen. It should not be hard to see why a professional organizers would be first in line to review this quintessential kitchen organizing system. But this is the first time I have seen a blogger outreach campaign. a few times and discussed some of their wonderful products in depth. They have been gracious enough to host a few events at the annual Professional Organizers in Canada National Conferences. I love Rubbermaid, I have said it before, it’s nice to see them on social media*. Two weeks ago, I reviewed the wonderful Lunch Blox system by Rubbermaid and this week we continue with a review of the Easy Find Lids system from Rubbermaid. 4M Organizing your Food Storage Containers Set RawScript to RawScript & "'" & filepath1POSIX & "/" & thefile & "'" & space Set fullpath to "'" & filepath1POSIX & "/" & thefile & "'" & space Set RawScript to "joinPDF " & "'" & destpath & "'" & space Set files_to_process to name of every file of the sourcefolder whose name contains search_string Set destpath to startpathPOSIX & search_string & "-" & "combined.pdf" Set filepath1POSIX to POSIX path of filepath1 Set filepath1 to (path to desktop as string) & "Export_Objects:Downsample:Success" Set startpathPOSIX to POSIX path of startpath Set startpath to (path to desktop as string) & "Export_Objects:temp" as alias On Combine_PDFs(sourcefolder, search_string, CombinedPDFfolder) Repeat until Input_PDF_List as string does not contain search_stringĮlse if (Input_PDF_List as string) does not contain search_string then My Combine_PDFs(sourcefolder, search_string, CombinedPDFfolder)Įlse if (Input_PDF_List as string) contains search_string then Set Input_PDF_List to name of every file of inputfolder Set search_string to characters 1 thru 14 of item 1 of Success_PDF_List as string Set Success_PDF_List to name of every file of sourcefolder Set CombinedPDFfolder to folder "Export_Objects:Combined PDF" as alias Set inputfolder to folder "Export_Objects:Downsample:Input" as alias Set sourcefolder to folder "Export_Objects:Downsample:Success" as alias As pidge said the use of joinPDF means that you can use just applescript and do shell scripts to combine pdfs and it works really well! We tested the Apple MacBook Pro 16 with an M1 Max SoC (10 CPU cores, 32 GPU cores), 32GB of memory, and 512GB of storage. The M1 Max chip has other features like a wider memory bandwidth and more video encoders and decoders, so depending on your workload, it might be worth getting the M1 Max over the M1 Pro. However, the choice of the SoC limits the memory configuration options as you can only pair the M1 Pro models with 16GB or 32GB of memory, while the M1 Max models are available with 32GB or 64GB. If you have a lighter workload that doesn't require as much graphical processing power, you can configure the MacBook Pro with an M1 Pro chip with 16 GPU cores or an M1 Max chip with 24 GPU cores. Our Apple MacBook Pro has an M1 Max SoC with 10 CPU cores and 32 GPU cores, 32GB of unified memory, and 512GB of storage. Also, the display's response time is slow, causing noticeable blur trails behind fast-moving objects. Although the M1 chip has enough graphical horsepower to run demanding games, performance can vary wildly as very few games are optimized for its ARM-based SoC. Its M1 Max SoC can handle nearly every type of workload with ease, and due to its power efficiency, the battery life is fantastic, lasting 15 hours of light productivity. It has a wide port selection, including a full-size HDMI port, USB-Cs with Thunderbolt 4 support, and an SD card reader. The keyboard feels great to type on, the touchpad is large and responsive, and the webcam's video quality is outstanding, producing a well-exposed and detailed image for video calls. The display is sharp and color-accurate, and it gets more than bright enough to deliver a true HDR experience. It has a 16 inch display like its predecessor, the Intel-based Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2019) however, this newer model has a Mini LED backlight, and it can adaptively ramp up the refresh rate up to 120Hz for smoother motion. The Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2021) is a premium laptop featuring Apple's M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs (System on a Chip). The university is committed to achieving carbon neutrality for all scopes of emissions by 2025 and aims to continue enhancing opportunities for all students to learn about sustainability and climate action. Many faculty, staff and students have tirelessly contributed to and continue to implement CAP strategies that keep the university on track to meet its climate action targets. The second Climate Action Plan - CAP 2.0 - was published online in 2017 and clarifies the university's strategies for meeting upcoming climate action targets. The strategies in CAP 2.0 are either currently being implemented or need to be implemented within the next several years to meet these aggressive, near-term goals.ĬAP 2.0 is a “living document” and aims to encourage community participation in climate action planning. The University of Maryland became a charter signatory of the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (now called the Carbon Commitment) in 2007 and published its first Climate Action Plan (CAP) in 2009. The Climate Action Plan will be updated to reflect this new goal.
